Through the years, many subscribers to Northwest Boat Travel have suggested that we form a "Club" so that boaters with similar interests could say "Hello" to each other when out on the water. A few years ago, as more opportunities for participation in activities involving NBT became available, we began to refer to subscribers as "Members" and Northwest Boat Travel Club was formed.
We had not given thought to a logo or other common bond for the members, other than the fact that each would have a copy of the Guide on board, thus identifying them as having similar interests in cruising along with NBT.
Then, in early July, David and Irene Axup, of Melbourne, Australia added a new ingredient to the mix when we rendezvoused in Vancouver, B.C. David brought out his lap top and presented us with five choices of burgees that he and Irene had designed specifically for the "Club".
What an exciting idea!
We compared the designs, finally choosing one for the new burgee. It can be seen on Website. Now we have a burgee, and many new ideas of what can be done to make Northwest Boat Travel Club a top notch, fun, group for boaters. The best is yet to come!
