{N 48° 47.742’ - W 123° 35.942’} CHS [Charts 3462, 3478] Maple Bay Marina
lies in Birds Eye Cove, at the extreme south end of Maple Bay. This marina
is one of the finest natural harbours on the BC West Coast. As you
approach, the newly constructed white and blue Yacht Enclosures are very prominent.
These enclosures are moored to new concrete floats that also have deep water
visitor moorage for vessels up to 150 feet.
Main visitor
moorage and the gas dock are just south of these enclosures. This is a full service
marina that offers permanent and visitor moorage year round, power (15, 30, and 50 amp),
water, gas, diesel, propane, CNG, oil, lubricants and a courtesy shuttle van. On shore
facilities include very clean washrooms, showers, laundromat, covered patio for groups,
internet and fax services. The Shipyard Restaurant & Pub features an attractive menu at
reasonable prices and also has beer and wine for purchase. Haul out service and your
chandlery needs are available through The Marine Supply store. Other businesses and
services include: mechanics, shipwrights, Passage Yacht Brokers, The Market@Maple Bay/Coffee
Shop, Harbour Air, Saltspring Air, car rentals and wireless internet provided by Broadband Xpress.
The Marina is 15 minutes from Duncan, the “City of Totems.” Local attractions include the
Quw’utsun’ Cultural Centre and the B.C. Forest Museum. There are four 18-hole golf courses
within a 25-minute drive of the marina. Over the past decade Maple Bay Marina has established a
well-deserved reputation for providing excellent service, value, and friendly atmosphere second
