Refuge Cove

When in the Desolation Sound vicinity, join your friends at this popular provisioning and fueling centre. Moorage and power are available, along with unlimited water. Water faucets installed on the floats enable boaters to take on water while moored thus enabling the fuel float to operate more efficiently. Gas, diesel and lube oils are available at the fuel float, whilst propane is dispensed midway to the airplane dock. An ample supply of block and party ice is available at the store. Real ice. Open from June through September, the store is known for its friendly service and great variety of attractions including fresh vegetables; deli meats and cheeses; dairy products; a large inventory of canned and packaged goods; fresh cut steaks and frozen meats; charts; fishing tackle; fishing licenses; housewares and hardware; marine batteries; and post office. Ice cream cones are scooped during July/August. The liquor agency offers a good cross section of wine listings and the adjacent book section carries a large selection of local interest titles, pocketbooks, magazines, t-shirts and hats. The laundromat; a hamburger stand and a coffee shop are adjacent to the store. A garbage service is located on a barge anchored off the Centel Island as you approach Refuge Cove. Interac, Visa and Mastercard accepted. Store hours are 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. in June and September and 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. in July and August. Broadband express available.
