The Saturna Lodge & Restaurant is a "special spot" at the head of Boot Cove. It is a must for the boating family's itinerary. Five mooring buoys are complimentary for Lodge and Restaurant guests. The Lodge has all the amenities of an elegent, yet casual, auberge or country inn. Seven individual, tastefully appointed rooms offer single or double occupancy. Featured are ocean views, down quilts, private decks, and convenient ensuite bathrooms with soaker tubs. Accommodation rates are based on double occupancy and include a full breakfast. Within the lodge, two lounges have cozy, fireplace settings and Saturna Restaurant serves guests both inside and outdoors on the large decks which overlook the bay. The fixed price menu offers Northwest Cuisine with fresh local seafood, Saturna Island lamb, organic produce, and delicious desserts. Thursday Theme Night specialties can be ordered from an a la carte menu. The fully licensed bar emphasizes wines of British Columbia, several of which have won medals in International wine competitions.
Saturna Island Vineyard's Winery is located in the midst of vineyards just off Quarry Trail. A dock at Thompson Park, at Saturna Beach, nearest the cliffs, provides access to the winery, tasting room, and vineyard.
A short 15-minute walk on a country lane through the vineyards, takes you to the winery. Here grapes are pressed, fermented, and ultimately crafted into wines considered to be of exceptional quality. The wine and gift shop also contains an extensive line of clothing (from baseball hats to golf shirts to boating apparel), along with local artworks and crafts. Visitors are invited to the Tasting Room and Mezzanine where they can sink into leather chairs and enjoy incredible views.
Saturna Island is readily accessible by scheduled BC Ferries sailing from Vancouver and Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island.
